Hey guys,

I'm looking to get new wheels. I have a spare set of stock tires, so I'm leaning towards just getting new rims and new TPMSS's and popping them in along with the spare tires, so I can sell mine off the truck as a full rolling/balanced/complete set, rather than having to pop the tires off and lose the balance just to get my TPMSS's out. Makes it easier too because then i can get the new setup 100% completed while driving on the stock set. Yes I'm that picky I don't even like tire shops swapping my rims for me.

I heard Amazon is the best place, but wasn't sure exactly which ones I needed. I tried searching but bulk of the hits are just guys saying they reused theirs. Haven't had luck finding exactly where, pricing, etc. Also what tool I need to program them to the truck.

Thanks! :hmmm2:

I'd say get them from fordparts.com or at you Ford dealer's parts dept. If your that picky (I am too) you should probably stick with genuine Ford parts.

Have you priced them from a local dealer? I put new ones in an escalade for like $18 each. It's my understanding they've come way down in price now that nearly every wheel has them

Haven't priced them at the dealer yet because I wanted to get an idea of price online first, so I had a good idea of true value, so if they're close, I can just order while I'm there.

Heres the Ford part number 9L3Z1A189A. They are around $70 each at the dealer.

You can find them here as well. 2010-2014 Ford Raptor TPMS Sensor | Schrader 9L3Z-1A189-A | TPMSDirect

Thanks for the PN and the link. Do you happen to know what tool is needed for programming them? The one I'm finding on amazon reviews are saying it's only for the band style not the valve stem style.

Heres a list of relearn instructions for Ford. Just chose your year and model. Ford TPMS Relearn | OEM TPMS, Tools, Accessories | TPMSDirect. The first procedure is whats found in the owners manual.

That's the procedure I use for retraining the sensors I already have in the truck when I rotate them. That same procedure works for setting up new sensors with the truck that have never been used before? There's no other initial programming required for new ones or any tool needed to set them up the first time?

Not as far as I know. You can always give the guys at TPMSDirect a call just to verify.
