Seems very slow to me, I assume its because its a first race or they dont want to break a prototype.....Does seem a little bouncy on the front end as well.

Judging by how much its dipping though the whoops they are clearly bad. And whoops are just not great for mortal production vehicles. That being said our TRD Pro 4 Runner would take those faster with less noticeable a bounce.

So sloooooow. lol. Anyone else think the front end looks like it was set up too soft? Just seems like its really diving into the dips.

I think you guys are underestimating the size of those holes.

Those are like 1.5-2' whoops, please go try to go faster and send us the video.

As someone who has raced that section 12 times, I can tell you those holes are huge. Probably closer to 3' whoops with odd spacing. Any faster than idling and any raptor with stock geometry is going to be having hell, there is no way to get a rhythm, get on top of them, or do anything but exactly what they did in the race Raptor.

Even in a Trophy Truck that section is super brutal, it may not look like it in the video, but everyone is too busy watching the pinstripes to see how rough it really is, you get the shit beat out of you in that section.

Unfortunately, all of the fast parker sections don't have spectator access, so there isn't going to be video of them doing 80+ on graded roads, or power line roads. I promise they did that too, it just so happens that the parker spectator areas are some of the roughest parts of the course.

The last thing I want to see is another fluff video of a Raptor on a power line or graded road!

They're basically testing the Gen 2 right? I'd like to see it come back with bashed in skid plates missing a door or two, something the drastically says they were beating on it. However, on the opposite note if all this new fancy schmancy equipment, engine, transmission, so forth, is so much better and works I'd want to hear positive reviews from a truck that looks like hell.

Just reading through this whole thread and seeing that there are people who both are for and against the 2017, its kind of ridiculous to see current raptor owners bashing the new raptor. In reality everyone needs to keep in mind that Ford is the only company that has a production vehicle competing in an off-road event like BITD.

I do understand everyone's worries or concerns and dislikes but then again I don't see Chevy, Toyota, or Dodge out there trying to compete in these races or against Ford. even if the new raptor being raced did have engine issues or electrical issues, just be happy that it happened now in the testing stages rather than after the truck is released to the public.

I personally might not like certain things on the new truck but that doesn't mean i'm not going to sit here and bash it. At the end of the day its a Ford Raptor out there showing that it is still has no competition from chevy, dodge or Toyota. that's just my two cents...

Haha why is it ridiculous? We all have our own opinions, we aren't all just ford fanboys that like anything that ford puts out. If this newer generation isn't what some of us like, well then welcome to the internet where people talk shit about things they don't like, pull up a seat and stay a while. I bought the current gen raptor cause I like the package it brings to the table, I like very few things about the new one, I'm honest about the things I do and don't like, but overall i don't like it and I'm not apologetic about that. I'm not telling you not to like it so its all good.
