I have the K&N. It works fine. No oiling required. It's nice to pull it, clean it, then put it back in.

+1, motorcraft or just one of those cheap ones, went one time all they had was the expensive hepa, ac had no flow, ripped it out and tossed it, Replaced with a cheap(can’t remember which brand) and got max ac again. You can spend the money on motorcraft but it’s just the cabin I’d do a cheapy and just toss it and replace it before every summerI bought a hepa filter from oriellys, worst filter ever.
No air flow at all, very weak air flow.
Switched back to cheaper filter and a/c blows cold now.
I agree with you. HEPA, being high efficiency filter will have 15-20% drop in pressure. I wouldn't use it unless you or family me members have sever allergies. Instead the advanced PUREFLOW blue filter works like a charm with optimal air flow. The air blasts in my truck and all the must smell gone. Especially when I added their cabin fir air freshener. it snaps right onto the filter. It diffuses a subtle crisp scent . I had for 3 months and it is still going .. check it out https://pureflowair.com/collections/air-freshenerCareful with the HEPA filters, I purchased one and ended up not using it. Read the reviews, they can significantly reduce airflow.
.
Can confirm. Bought a pureflow and it works greatK&N is trash
