Huh. I never had that issue. Never used Methods or Mickey Thompsons though. Maybe trim just a tiny bit of the rubber with a razor blade around the entire tire? Is the inner bead of the tire free to move around?

I am not familiar with MC beadlocks, other than tubeliss I had on a KTM. Totally different concept though.

It was a mother sucker when I mounted all five of my factory beadlocks. Second time I just took it into my buddy’s tire shop and had them help me but I still had to torque all the bolts. I hope I get more than 11000 miles this time.... had to have them balanced anyhow.

There is typically an creepy old guy that chimes in and says "you can never have enough lube" and slaps you the shoulder at this point lol. Get some soapy water (or tire lube if you have it) and a few longer bolts like mentioned before to get the tire pushed into place and then thread in some proper length bolts and enjoy the torque fest. Those Mickey's look thick. Do you have bead ring spacers just in case the bead is too thick? It would suck to get one done just realize you have too much gap left.

I measured the bead thickness and spoke to a guy at method, he said I was fine to go without a spacer. There is a little flap of extra rubber that I will trim off and give it another go. I use windex for lube, it dries without any residue.

:cheers:I successfully got two of beadlock rings on today!!!! Turns out the lubing the bead on the “beadlock” side was my problem. I could get 80% seated and then it would pop out because of the lube. Went at it dry and the bead was able to grip the wheel allowing me to get it seated.
