I think out of all the red tow hooks out there the oem raptor r ones look the best imo
I'm really happy with how they turned out. I like the squared off look of the new hooks. I had shopped some of the after market aluminum hooks but glad I went with these instead. I should have done a side by side picture comparing the 2 different size of hooks. The 801 OEM hooks look girly compared to these R hooks.

Nice weather, so decided it was time to put some of the things that I had acquired last Christmas on the Raptor. Replaced the plastic guard on the gas tank with a steel one from RCI. Put the Carhart covers on the back seats along with the Builtright seat release. Great covers but damn it’s a PITA getting them on but if it wasn’t a PITA, they wouldn’t look as nice as they do. The final two things were a nice easy way to end the day. I put in a new quick release mount for the fire extinguisher in the back of the bed and mounted the SPV Parts Diode C1R Reverse/Turn/Brake/Running Light Kit. I actually couldn’t believe how easy the install was. So kudos to John and Sidney for another great product. That’s it for today, debating if I want to tackle installing the OnX6 Hybrid light bars behind the grill or just drive the Raptor around and enjoy the good weather.

Finally got around to nestling my Anker power station (SOLIX C1000) into the driver side half-bin on the SmartCap. This location allows easy access when parked up -- be it tailgating or camping or whatever -- while also being easy to reach from the bed via the bin's passthrough for powering things like my Dometic fridge. Plenty of room still in the bin to charge my drone and camera batteries while on the road too, stuff like that. I do need to secure it better before hitting the trails ... but this is fine for drives like the 3000 miles I'll do on-road over the next couple weeks.

Main reason behind this set up was to have the truck charge the power station while on the road as it passes power through to my fridge. Then, when the truck's off, the SOLIX powers the fridge directly ... so it's always cooling. Otherwise, connecting the fridge directly to the truck's ProPower outlet meant I couldn't keep the fridge running when parked without leaving the truck running too.

I have a bigger Jackery that can keep the fridge going for 24 hours on a charge; way longer than I'd need before running the truck or being connected to solar, but it was too big for the SmartCap bin and took up way too much real estate in the bed. This little Anker unit is a lot more portable and can still run the Dometic for 15-16 hours from 100%, which again ... is plenty.
Just back from a road trip covering 2700+ miles over the past couple weeks (Bend / Central Oregon to La Quinta / Palm Desert CA and back, with a couple side trips). Thought I'd circle back to report the Anker SOLIX power station to run my Dometic CFX fridge set up worked *perfectly*! While driving, the Anker charges and passes power through to the Dometic, then when parked the Anker powers the Dometic directly. The fridge reached operating temp within the first 50 miles after leaving the house, and the Anker hits 100% surprisingly quick. With the Dometic at set temp (39F in my case), it barely drew any power overnight (Anker would go from 100% to 90% after more than 12 hours parked) ... and even during the day, sitting in the hot desert sun for several hours, it never dropped below 70%. A few miles of driving and it'd be charged back up. Exactly what I'd hoped for and a great solution for away doing the same
