At what voltage does the PCM kick on the battery warning? I was driving on highway at 65 mph and the battery light on the dash came on. Very random. I grabbed by tuner real quick as it shows the current voltage in the "about" menu. I was around 12.55 or 12.60 volts. I did look again later and I was closer to 13 volts.

Just curious when the battery light does kick on.

TIA

I just went through a LOT of head scratching until replacing the alternator on what is my daughter's Lincoln MKX. A bit of a pain to replace, o I wanted to make sure that is what was needed. Sounds similar to what you are describing. It would work intermittently. Whenever the light would come on it would show battery voltage 12.4+. With alternator working it would be around 14 or more. Finally replaced it and all better. Good luck with yours.
