It is, thats why you hook up to Aux4, on and off with the flick of a switch. Like it was said, they would have to be some serious ***** to ticket you for that.

Amber shouldn't be too hard you just would need to find a transparent amber plastic and use the white el tape.

If you were going to do Amber, would you use yellow EL or just use the white, then cover with amber transluscent material?

Oh yeah. They are on Aux 4. I usually turn them off at a crowded stop light if I'm the first at the light. But, I won't anymore given that they say they won't ticket me for it.

It's color gel, color filter, lighting gel, or simply just gel. It is a transparent colored material that is used in theatre, event production, photography, videography and cinematography to color light and for color correction. These modern gels are thin sheets of polycarbonate or polyester. When placed in front of a lighting fixture in the path of the beam, the color is projected. In a theater enviroment they last about a year before fading.. Just another option.

$6.75 for a 20"x24" gel and wide selection of optically correct colors.

Dr. Bob's Stage Right Lighting -

Thanks for the info, I am going to give this a try. Ordered a couple of colors sounds like a good idea. will see.

What is "GAFF" tape and why instead of electrical tape?

Where do you purchase this "GAFF" tape?

Ahhh...Sorry RSC...missed this.

I have rolls of it (I do sound for concerts and that's what we use to loom cables, etc). Better than duct tape for just about anything (but a lot more expensive).

Did this tonight and after putting one layer of the yellow gel they lit up green, so i added a red layer and it was pretty orange, added another yellow strip and you could call it amber, maybe just a little to the orange side but it looks pretty good and looks pretty legal. Nice thanks for the gel suggestion GJMcManus
