It can be done. You just need to go to a custom car builder and drop off a suitcase of cash. Probably 10k to pull that off.
Does Toyota have some kind of patent on the roll down back window on a pickup truck? I can’t understand why no other truck maker has that feature.
Toyota more than likely sacrificing weight, interior room, additional potential storage/seat adjustability features etc to accommodate for the slide down window is my guess
other makes would have re-engineer or drop other aspects of their trucks design to replicate, not cost effective
oh & btw- as cute as that novelty is- and would be occasionally helpful w/ wide long bulk items I suppose- my dad had a tundra w/ this feature & it’s annoying you can’t really have it partially down if it’s drizzling get crazy wind turbulence, if you forget it’s down & leave it out overnight interior gets soaked, but the sideways sliding rear portal windows this doesn’t seem to happen, but on the tundras the water just rolls off the top of the roof & into the cab
it’s nice but there are also drawbacks
