Not a problem, At this point any humor is welcomed!

Ok Update:

I just went to the Ford alarm installer to get the Pace Edwards Remote Electric Bedlocker to work on the Key Fob.
After 4 Technicians and a hour and a half they got it to work.
It took a complete swap out of the alarm unit to a different Ford Factory version and a reprogramming.
I believe it's for a Navigator with the power liftgate but don't quote me on that. If someone needs that info I can call them.
It is still not exactly what I wanted, pressing #1 to open and #2 to close.

I have to press and hold the unlock to open and press 1 to close.
They said this is because of the way Ford designed the alarm and the way the truck is wired.
#2 button is for valet.

They saw I was a little unhappy about this and took pity and didn't charge me what was quoted.

I asked them about just buying a whole new alarm with 2way communications LED key fob,
and they said it would still not work, because of the way Ford wired the truck.
To point out they install all makers of alarms so there not bias.
It would be great if someone can prove them wrong!!!!!

They also tried to get the Pop and Lock to work from the door switch wires not the actuator wires.
It did not work! But they ran out of time, they needed to get going to the Ford dealers to install alarms.

I have Pop and Lock talking to the installer today hopefully together they can figure something out.

What needs to be done is to rally together and tell Ford that we want to add accessories like Electric Bed Covers and Automatic Tailgate Locks, not that this would help us. So future F-150 owners can install these easily.
Ford is making the electronics more and more difficuilt with each new model. Especially with this CAN system there using now.

All four Technicians warned me about just trying wires, It dosen't take much to burn out the BCM.
And jokes were made about setting off an AIR BAG. I wasn't laughing.

Ok another update:

Pop and Lock just talked with the alarm installer They are going to send me another relay as a negative setup and try the wires the alarm techs told me to use. I will edited later to tell you which two wires to hookup to, because I forgot.
These guys had everything apart holy ____! and fast.

That's intresting about your truck with the double push, I wonder if Ford did that for the 2011's or the alarm guy just installed all the parts.
I had to battle alittle with my dealer just to give me my harness for the extended option on the Ford Gold alarm.
Trying to find out simple info like this is worst then pulling teeth. It's like everything a big secret.

From other threads I've looked at it's not just the Raptor. It seems to be that in 2010 Ford changed the wiring a little from what the alarm guys are telling me.

My 2010 also 1 push drivers door 2 pushes all doors.

Yea, I found out today from the alarm techs that not all alarm installers install everything there supposed to. It takes over an hour to install the relays and wires to make that function work.
When they opened up the alarm unit they showed me that they did not even install all the fuses.
So I guess I got robbed. Thats what you get when you try to save money. I did get $3500 off sticker price at least.
I will be calling the dealer in Texas.

You mean your factory alarm system has parts missing?

Yes, the alarm guys down in Texas left parts out and got lazy basically.
I really don't want to say to much until I confront the sales manager at the dealer in Texas.
I paid $795 for this Ford Gold Alarm installed and I would like all my stuff.
One problem is there is nothing on the Raptor that uses the extended part of the alarm like a power liftgate so I am thinking that's why everything was left out.

The doors is what I will complain about now.

I bought a regular door solenoid on eBay for under $10 shipped. Took some finagiling to mount it in the tailgate, but the wiring was straight forward - 2 wires to the harness on the passenger side.

Works like a charm on my 2011 screw without any additional relays!

dew.man you can't post something like this without all the info.

Do you know the model number of the actuator? (post link for ebay product)
I can not find a $10 with shipping on ebay was that the last one?

And what two wires did you use? I would guess you tied into the rear doors?

Do you have an alarm or remote start?

Post Pictures please!

I'd love to post pictures, but am not thrilled to tear the truck apart to do so

My 2011 has the factory alarm/remote start.

I used the cheapest door solenoid I could find on ebay (Universal Power Door Lock Actuator Car Auto BEST DEAL)). It was a bit of a pain in the ass to mount the solenoid inside the tailgate. I ended up mounting it vertically in front of the lock mechanism with a very, very short throw rod.

As for wiring, I ran it under the truck to the front passenger door sil and connected to the two wires I found in one of the generic f150online install threads. I'll try to get out there later and pop the sill to get the colors.

All in all, best $10 mod ever!

Thanks dew.man

It looks like the Commando one for $9.99. http://www.commandoalarms.com/itm30005.htm

So there were no instruction with the one you bought. What I am trying to get at is, is the actuator a reverseable wire hookup meaning all you need to do is swap the two wires back and forth from positive to negative to make it move in and out.

Pop and Lock whats me to ask you how long have you and this hookup,
they are concerned about draining the battery when the truck is not use for a long while,
if you used VT-GY and GY-BR that is.

I can't believe this, I have off today and I can run out to the truck and try those wires right now!!!!!!
If I only knew which wires dew.man used:insane:

Update:

Audiovox just called me at the same I was talking to the alarm installer about my Pace Edwards BedLocker.

My alarm was setup for a positive pulse that's why I was not going to get this to work.
I want to point that both were surprized that it was setup for positive in the first place.
I guess the dealer in Texas is not using a very good installer down there.
The alarm installer said that he switched to negative pulse when they swaped out the alarm unit.
And when Pop and Lock sends me the relays setup as a negative with diodes on each end.
Both Audiovox and the Ford alarm installer says it will all work just fine!

From Drivers Door/side:
From relay Purple goes to Light blue with Green stripe
From relay Grey goes to Gray with Brown stripe

To Lock:
Blue goes Blue
Green goes to Brown

I will not be holding my breath.
Hopefully I can get to the alarm installer some time next week thursday or friday, when I receive the relays.
That's if I'm not working.

Unless dew.man comes back to us with the wires codes he used!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would like to try it.
