Well... You cheated. Lol. I went through the firewall on the drivers side with one of the main harnesses that goes into the interior. I wanted mine to look like a factory job. Zip tied the shit out of everything from under the truck and under the hood you would never be able to tell. If you looked inside, you could never tell. I'm picky about how I do installs like this.

I am pretty sure nobody would be able to tell on mine either. I am super picky also.

This pic helped me immensely on installing the Pace Edwards #LK370 on my 2013 Screw. It's a pic of the Driver's side door sill wiring and shows exactly what wires to connect to. Previous to finding this pic out on the Innertube, I spent several hours testing different Blue/Green striped wires, etc.

Hope this helps someone in the future.

Do you have a pic of the lock installed?

I had to return the Pace Edwards one It would not fit a 2010 tailgate, I'm curious what has changed the lock or the tailgate.

I should add this was three years ago too.

I didn't take any when I installed it, but I could pull the tailgate cover and take a pic and post. Won't be until Sunday before I can get to that.

Pace Edwards did tell me that if I had the backup camera mounted in the lock mechanism (instead of it mounted in the Ford oval Badge - like I do), their lock wouldn't work.

The PE lock actuator was a little tight getting into position inside the tailgate, but after trying several different angles, it fit.

I also want to point out that the PE lock device has a disadvantage, if you loose power for any reason and your tools are in the bed you will be crap out luck.

The PopandLock utilizes the key mechanism so you can still use your key to open the tailgate.

The camera in a 2010 is in the Oval I just could not bolt the PE in place I guess they modified the Lock.

MTF, here are the pics of my PE lock install.

Rear of tailgate, top of tailgate, internal pics with lock installed.

Looks like I'll do this in a couple of posts.

You don't need to go crazy, I believe you.

I love my PE electric bed cover with remote, just would have been nice if they would have built the lock the same way Pop and Lock did.
