GEN 2 Auto Start/Stop Not Working??

You missed one I think based upon my observations; Drivers seat belt must be connected/engaged.

So you expect Ford to create a custom message for every one of these scenarios? Waste of bits.

The system automatically enables every
time you start your vehicle if:
• You do not press the Auto StartStop
button (not illuminated).
• Your vehicle exceeds an initial speed
of 3 mph (5 km/h) after you have
initially started your vehicle.
• You have stopped your vehicle.
• Your foot is on the brake pedal.
• The transmission is in drive (D) or Sport
mode (enable by pressing the Auto
StartStop button).
• The driver door is closed.
• There is adequate brake vacuum.
• The interior compartment has cooled
or warmed to an acceptable level.
• The front windshield defroster is off.
• You have not turned the steering wheel
rapidly or you do not have it at a sharp
angle.
• The vehicle is not on a steep road
grade.
• The battery is within optimal operating
conditions (battery state of charge and
temperature in range).
• The engine coolant is at operating
temperature.
• Elevation is below about 10000 feet
(3048 meters).
• Ambient temperature is moderate.
• You have selected 4X2 or Auto mode.
• If equipped with Terrain mode, and you
select auto snow/ice mode only.
• The trailer is not connected.
• You have not selected Tow haul.
• You have not selected Manual mode.

I mean if the system has logic to discretely test for each of these particular events as well as a mechanism already in place to indicate to the driver in plain text what particular event is the cause then yeah I would expect Ford to display all of them. Based on the observed memory space within FORScan we're talking about a trivial amount of space. Seems like if you put all this in place only to leave a few of these out you're just asking for drivers to stop at dealerships asking "my auto stop/start isn't working and all it says is 'unavailable'".

Then again I turned mine off because I hate it...

Mine works without the seat belt. I was in New Hampshire yesterday the only state that does not require adults to wear a seat belt and my auto start/stop still worked.

I was wondering if this was something with my truck. But I did forget to mention something. The situation is that while at a stop engine at stop if I removed the seat belt the engine will start, this is a different scenario.

Mine also did the auto stop/start only once in the first couple of times driving it. I went to the dealer and all the peramitters were being met so they couldn't quickly fiqure it out so I left to look in to another time.
But after reading this I am starting to wonder if it might have something to do with the fact that I turned off the seat belt nannys for both driver and passenger seatbelts...
I wear the seatbelt on the roads but tend to take it off back in the bush roads driving from job to job when they are close and the dinging drives me nuts...
