ok, now that i have my truck i am going to be doing sound deadening on it. dynamat is the most expensive and well known, but stinger makes some as well that is probably as good and a bit cheaper. since i have my truck now, i will be lining it and i can tell you exactly how much i used. the question is, how much of a hurry are you in? i wont start doing anything until i get maxx's box done. at which point i was planning on making a video of it. from the diss assembly to the installation, and to the reassembly.

I'm getting all the stuff (I think) I need for my audio upgrade. Need an expert oppinion...

'12 SCrew with Nav.

This is what I have:

AMP: JL Audio XD400/4 - 4-channel car amplifier — 75 watts RMS x 4

SUB: Soundgate™ SubStage™ SF150C09 by Kicker — custom-fit powered subwoofer

FRONT SPK: JL Audio C3-570

REAR SPK: JL Audio C3-525

I'm getting the amp wiring kit (StreetWires ZeroNoise 3 ZN3Ki-04)

Not sure about the CleanSweep. Is that a must?
Am I missing anything else?
I'd like to have the install done by a reputable car audio shop. Any recommendations for Princeton NJ area?
How is KHC (Krazy House Customs) for this kind of stuff?

Oh, btw, I got the heated/cooled seats, so there's no room under the front seats for the amp.
The only other place for it is vertically inside the arm rest... (possible overheating issues??)

only thing i can add is not to waste your money on an Amp Wiring Kit. most of the time they stuff low quality wires in those kits (8ga more like 10ga, etc) and jack up the price. buy name brand (Rockford is usually readily available and good quality) wire by the foot and only buy what you need. in the end you should end up with thicker cable with less $$

i think master busa will agree

yep. stinger, jl audio, rockford, and even monster cable, all provide you with true guaging on the wires. i will post a pic tomorrow when i get to the shop of the difference in wire when compared to the cheap crap that some companies are trying to pass off

The stuff Pete ( AM ) has is great and just as good sound deadaning material as any. Used a box of it on my Mustang for our trucks you need two boxes if you do the whole cab only one if you do parts of it....

working with sync isnt the problem, its getting the dash. there are not a whole lot of options available for non nav owners wanting to get an aftermarket nav. but i get a truck in my shop next saturday (thanks svt cali), i will see about making a fiberglass mold of the dash bezel

Did you ever have any luck with making a custom/matching fiberglass mold of the dash bezel for those of us who do not have OEM navigation and are interested in putting in a Pioneer navigation unit? I'd definitely be interested in one if you were willing to make one.
