The vast majority of my posts are dispelling misinformation. Pardon me this one misstep as I ponder how grown men can become so insecure at the mere mention of EVs.

More importantly, how have I never heard the term "snovid" before?!
I’m not sure why you ponder about insecurities. Being threatened by or having insecurities have nothing to do with the vehicles themselves, and more to do with freedom.

If you’ve lived in California your whole life maybe you’re more accustomed to restricted freedom, but the rest of the country enjoys mostly full freedom. Having EVs forced on us in the name of climate change is the issue, not the EV itself.

As previously stated, your horse v ICE argument doesn’t hold water, I can still buy a horse today if that is my desire.

If people want an EV, fine. Go right ahead and drive one.

If people want a 10 mph trophy truck that has license plates, go ahead. (That's what a Gen 2 is anyways amiright?)

I have no problem with looking at different fuel sources. I do have a problem with the government saying you must comply. I also have a problem with all of our eggs in one basket. That is just a disaster waiting to happen. Oh, it already has you say?

We as a County need to get away from this one size fits all mentally.

It does not need government involvement to speed things up. The infrastructure we have for ICE vehicles was done with private investment. If the government needs to be involved, something is wrong as the investment is not profitable.
I don’t believe battery powered vehicles are the future. Hydrogen fuel cells will over take it in a few years.
The 2035 mandates are for votes only. It will be trillions of dollars to build the infrastructure to replace ICE vehicles.

The infrastructure to outfit apartment dwellers and city folks that park in the street with chargers will be a mild road bump. NOT. I am sure the Gov has a plan for this, and it includes all of us "pitching in" to make it happen. Yippee

In reality it is Agenda 21, they have everyone living in cities, eliminate urban sprawl. No one needs a long drive in these planned communities. We have to stand up and fight the socialist bas turds, get on school boards, planning committees, city council and county commissioners. Most of all get conservative to freakin vote!

Pulled my bass boat to our camp today because my Raptor is still in the shop (Monday makes 4 weeks, 8 weeks total since Jan) and range anxiety killed me again. I just can’t get over it.

It pulls great and is comfy on the highway but knowing I can’t charge until I get here kills me. I have a 240v here since we have so many hurricanes so it’s fine but I just have trouble changing the mindset of running so low .
So what happens when there is a hurricane and power is out for days? Gonna take a long time to charge on a generator.

I’ll probably drive the Raptor then. Or my wife’s QX. Or a boat, depends on the storm. My uncle owns a plant about 5min from my house with about 5mW of generators so I guess worst case I could drive there with the Polaris on a trailer and charge, and drive the Ranger home while it charges. But probably would just drive any of the other vehicles.

Then again, we have a standby 28kw NG and probably won’t have to go anywhere for a few days so it would probably be fine too
