Anybody else over the new Raptor R already?

I don’t get Ford’s business model here. They are allowing a very large loyal Raptor buyer base to become disgruntled and frustrated, and in many cases go to RAM. They should pull allocations from all ADM stealerships and regain control of this segment of their business. Not smart business IMO.

They're complicit in all of this. They reveal limited edition models all the time. They always have something coming down the pike that dealers will use to gouge customers with. Anything labeled Ford Performance and the dealers will basically auction to the highest bidder.

If I didn't have good relations w/ my dealer I'd be heading to Ram as well. I've had 4 Ram trucks and they've all been good for me.

I think FMC is caving in to pressure from the woke dipshits that work there. ICE bad, ICE evil, ICE going away ASAP, make it really expensive and scrape as much cash off bad evil people as quickly as possible on the way out the door. As a purportedly bad evil person, I resent that attitude. As an investor, I won't touch FMC with a ten-foot pole. Everything woke turns to shit.

ESG is certainly entertaining to watch. Companies making decisions to limit shareholder returns in favor of a non-financial cause will begin to have a ripple effect as managers begin to offload those stocks in favor of higher returns. Watch what happens to prices once the true costs for mining and end of life impact of EVs is more pronounced.

I love my Gen 1 with the V8 and would love the R but I am probably going to settle on a 23 Raptor 37pp and go from there. Ordered on 7/22 and will wait and see if it ever gets built. Maybe things will settle down in 24. But keeping my name on the R list.

My choice is: pay $10K over list for a 37 from a dealer I've never done business with; or pay sticker for a Raptor R through a dealer I've done all kinds of business with and trust 100%.
