Really? I'm older than you. I grew up poor on a small family farm and still have the typical outlook ... I guess it has to be a Texas thing. Native?I suspect you know that I’m able to perform an internet search. That said, the last thing a 55 y/o Redneck from Texas is going to do is search the “urban dictionary”. You've made my point... I’ll just stay in the old world.
I read that was done as to not anger those that already purchased a v6 Gen3.Does it bother anyone that the R is nearly identical in looks to the standard Raptor?
I also don’t like the fact that there are now two trims of Raptors. It’s almost as if Ford should have dropped the 5.2 in the Gen 3 and skipped this whole “R” nonsense altogether.
A little. In an ideal world it would be mid travel with bigger fenders, 39s, and a cage. In the real world it’s about appeasing the crowd that wants it to make V8 noises.Does it bother anyone that the R is nearly identical in looks to the standard Raptor?
I can’t buy any theory that requires thought on the part of Ford marketing.I read that was done as to not anger those that already purchased a v6 Gen3.
Lol it was actually Car and Driver.I can’t buy any theory that requires thought on the part of Ford marketing.
So because they look alike you say Ford can’t offer a V8 option…after huge parts of the market won’t buy the V6 and we have begged for a V8 since 2014? Yeah this is just a dumb take. Every other brand has engine variety in the same trucks. If you don’t like the R don’t buy one, but to think it shouldn’t exist because you don’t like it, is umm, special. More options is a good and If anything they don’t give you enough options with the R.Does it bother anyone that the R is nearly identical in looks to the standard Raptor?

PS. Also not a fan of using the Raptor name for the Bronco either.
You’re answering what I asked (complained about really) yourself. So because they look alike you say Ford can’t offer a V8 option…after huge parts of the market won’t buy the V6 and we have begged for a V8 since 2014?
