I’m officially giving up on my quest for an R at a fair price. The R seems like an awesome truck and I would love to upgrade from my 37PP, but I just can’t allow myself to pay a ridiculous markup. I’ve reached out to most dealers in Florida and haven’t found anything less than $25k mark up and a horrible trade number for my 2023. Maybe I’ll get the itch next year and try again but for now I’m out.

I’m in the same boat. I’m about to hit 100k in my Gen 2 so I’ll just refresh it all around and try to get to at least 150k. The trade in value is probably gonna break my heart.

Where did you call in Florida? I’m in the Tampa area and they are all ridiculous around me.

Brandon Ford said they'd do $130K for a '24, lol. I'm sure the offer for my '23 would be $60 at most.

Rs won't fall nearly as far but Braptors were $25-50K over on in the first year but are $20K below now. When I think about accepting markup, I remember that I'd be ****ing myself when they are MSRP or below in two years when some stupid upgrade makes me want to trade it in.

Brandon, World Ford, Stivers, Mullinax, and Grieco Ford get the most volume (the last two have at least 10 Rs each) have the worst mark ups out of the bunch within my 500 mile search. Stivers' owner is a chairman of NADA so he's definitely a *****.

My closest dealer is Parks in Wesley Chapel and they don’t seem like a high volume dealer. Never even seen an R on their floor.

I’m sure they won’t be discontinuing the R soon so eventually it’ll drop. Especially with all the left over 2024 still on the lots.

Never inquired about my Gen 2 but I’m sure it’ll be in the low $30k range trade in with my mileage.

I’ll never get the markup back since I keep my stuff for at least 3-4 years.
