Yep, brought my '19 to the dealer for oil change. I usually change oil on brand new car/ truck at between 1000-2000 miles. It's just my nutty belief as I think usually the car would sit at the dealer lot for some times and I don't like to keep that old oil there.

Anyways, tech guy and the mechanic said the oil is low, and the valve cover needs to be replaced under warranty. Something about a leak.. ??? I don't see any leak though.. Can someone explain something better than this "genius tech guy" about leak?? Thanks

I will have to bring the car back in a week or 2 as I will be out of town.. I guess I will have to keep my eye on the oil level from now until then. :/

Ahh, OK, Got it and thank you for the explanation. I did some searches and couldn't find much beside quite a few members mentioned about replacing valve cover and oil consumption.

When the service adviser told me about leak, I was like hmm.. I didn't see any oil leak. I didn't know it is a common problem. But glad to know. Appreciate your help

Common problem.
The valve cover is leaking internally pulling oil into the combustion chamber and consuming it.

My service advisor said it was the PVC system on the valve covers was redesigned. It was siphoning the oil somehow... I have seen a 1 MPG increase since the new valve covers were installed.
