And with one mod... I now hate driving my Raptor

I finally finished dynamatting the whole truck. Not because of the exhaust but the mbrp is really quiet now unless I hammer on it.

I had never messed with sound dampening before and didn't think it would make that much of a difference. Kind of sad to see that noise go. Maybe just have to route the pipe all the way to the cab.:head3:

WOO HOO! Scrapped some fun money together... time to order up the Corsa! I do waaay too much driving to keep this thing without going insane. Heck, after reading up on some of they dynamatting threads... Im thinking about doing that too just to make the cab super quiet.

.... and then Im going to burn a aroma therapy on the dash while I drive... maybe play some enya... tranquil as fawk! :D

I thought the same thing after I installed the MBRP... too loud and too much drone. After 10,000km the drone is much less noticeable to me; either:
1) I've become accustomed to the noise;
2) I've gone slightly deaf; or,
3) The muffler has "broken-in"

I suspect it's a combination of 1) and 3) but I quite like the noise the truck makes now.

x2. the first time i took it on the interstate at 70 mph and 2000 rpm i thought id made a huge mistake. now it doesnt bother me at all. theres drone, but it doesnt seem as bad now.

I have found that that exhaust on my Factory Roush SC Raptor is surprisingly tolerable at highway speeds... I was expecting the worst when I heard it under throttle and acceleration (but didn't care since it sounds so damn sweet to my ear). :)

Does anyone know how the Roush exhaust compares to the others?

Mine drones some so I just turn the music up. I like how the truck sounds at WOT with this muffler so I'm not removing it. I'll probably end up putting some sound deadening in the truck at some point just to help some but it's not too high on my priority list at the moment.

Holy Mother of God! Installed the Corsa Extreme System this Saturday and its a freakin dream come true! Totally different sound... almost has a higher/raspier sound. Reminds me of some of the high end mustangs you see floating around. Cant hear anything more inside than when it was stock... hell, not sure why anyone would buy the Corsa Sport, cant imagine it could be quieter inside. But roll the windows down and it sounds freaking great... and wide open throttle and it screams! Love it! Worth every penny!

The MBRP shorty sounds like el cheapo system specifically for high school kids who just want loud.... Corsa sounds like something with real design and is meant for someone who wants an exhaust that sounds like quality... the sound precisely toned to complement the truck. Best way I can describe it.

Also... another bonus... no weird idle! That MBRP system made my truck idle high at completely unexpected times... like at a stoplight without my foot on the gas... very odd.... it'd just shoot up to 1k rpms out of no where. Like the engine was confused. Now with the Corsa, it idles perfectly just like it did with the stock system.

Again... worth every penny!

Roush stage 2 with mbrp turndown here and I love the thing. Sounds like a monster truck. Can't wait to do long tubes with it.

COOL! Enjoy!!

Where did you get it and what was the cost??? Any videos of the sound of your install yet??

I have had Corsa Sports on both of my Avalanches and the sound was great without the "Drone"
