Okay watching this a couple of times.. The little check up before the table top hurt your landing and causing you to land nose heavy.. I am not critizing your driving skills at all.. And watching it you can tell the Raptor is weight biased towards the driver side and that is what caused the roll towards that side.

Most definitely! If you have to scrub some speed before a jump, do it early enough so you can get back on the gas and carry the front of the truck off the jump. It's all about weight transfer.
Great job on going big for the win!

Few things.

1. Congrats on winning whatever event that was.
2. Who the hell is dumb enough to put on an event like that and not require a cage? Did you have a helmet on?
3. Fox 3.0s, King 3.0s, stage 700+ etc etc... wouldn't do any good in a situation like that. Front bump stops, progressive coils, more up travel would have helped. (best mod you can do is learning the limits of your truck.)
4. I have the same contact marks where my u-bolts hit my RPG kit, not sure what's going on there.
5. My thoughts on a cage are full cage or no cage.
6. I would imagine you did more damage than you have seen so far.

1. Thanks
2. Stock truck does not require a cage, and yes I had a helmet on.
3. Like I said, I over drove the truck on that run. 100% stuck on stupid... not denying it.
4. Are you using stock springs?
6. So far that is all I've found, forgot about the spare tire under the truck was a bit loose as well.

I have taken a few a high altitude jumps (see Cycle Ranch thread). JTRATX made the same jumps. We are both stock front/middle perch. I have RPG Stage 3. JTRATX is RPG Stage 2.

We had the benefit of a very long table top for our landings, which definitely helped. I don't recall braking close to takeoff but that was because of the setup at Cycle Ranch. Don't really have a clean straight away like you had. If I had approached your jump at your speed, I would have done the same thing.

In any event, on our slower approaches we landed nose first, sometimes on one tire. As we got more comfortable, we increased speed, accelerated thru takeoff and often landed on all fours.

I am not one for public damage reports, but would be curious as to RPG's (or any of the other members' or vendors') thoughts.

Front:
- My flares and liners are zip tied back together on both sides. I run -6 offset so not surprised - they took multiple hits. I am actually quite proud of my zip tie job - can't tell unless you get down on your knees and look up in the wheel wells. Ha.
- Alignment. I run pretty negative camber (but in spec) and above spec caster since those jumps (this is with both LCAs pulled all the way in front and back and with the cam kits installed). I have had the front end inspected by two offroad shops and Ford. Nobody sees anything wrong with the arms, bushings, ball joints, knuckle, etc. I guess it is possible that the frame or shock towers have some issues but nobody can pinpoint anything. Maybe it is several small issues working together to make it difficult to align into spec. Even the master Pirate Air is at a loss. Oh well.

Rear:
- Leaf spring impact on RPG frame reinforcement. I have it on the passenger side only. On my truck, it really is more of a scrape. I wonder if my reinforcement bracket is not flush with the frame (faulty install on my part or possibly frame issues prior to install). Or could the National Springs sit wider than the OEM springs. Curious if JTRATX had hits from his OEM springs. Curious if RPG's truck(s) have similar hits.
- Ubolt impacts. I have these on both sides. I wonder if we need to adjust the bump stops. Maybe there is full compression and then there is FULL compression and there is not really anything that can be done. Curious as to RPG's thoughts on the bump stops and UBolt hits.
- I don't have any bed rail/frame issues but I made those jumps with minimal weight in the rear. Certain that your tire gate caused some extra stress.

If anyone has any thoughts or insights, please weigh in.

Guys from the very beginning we have seen a little bit of rubbing from the u-bolts on super heavy compression. We changed it to a 45 degree angle a long time ago. It's basically a cosmetic thing as they only scrape a little bit. The section that shows a little contact never really gets bigger than a scrape so it's really not a big deal. It's has zero impact on performance or strength so we kept it as it currently sits.

I'll be honest, after watching that video I'm amazed he didn't break the whole dam frame in half. That was nuts and only a boat load more travel is gonna help that thing. Or next time, pump the bumps up to 450psi and see if that works. Either way, I laughed for a while.
