yep. I just put a funnel under the drain that directs all the oil to my collection receptacle. No mess, no fuss.

I just did my first oil change a few weeks ago. I went to my kitchen and grabbed on of my wife’s paper then cutting boards. Shaped it with some scissors and it worked great. No issues.

Did you really get all the oil out??? My first oil change I couldn't get more than 3 qts with my mityvac.

I researched this method extensively and learned from this forum that there’s a stopper that prevents the tube from going all the way down thus preventing one from getting all the oil out. And to your point, CobraJay, you can only get 3 to 4 quarts out.

350Industrial - how are are getting the tube all the way down to the pan? How much oil are your getting out with the machine? Or is the rest coming out during the filter removal? Yikes!
