Just got my BFG AT' 37's last week. LOVE THEM! The look, ride is awesome!! They just look good. I am on mid-perch, with no other mods. Did some moderate off-roading with no rubbing. Cannot tell you how much better the truck looks with 37's. Fills out the well so much better. This truck was made for 37's. Got them at discount tire.

Ordered and received in less than a week. I did know the manager though at discount.

Same here. Ordered a set of BFG 37 AT's (white letters out) through my local Discount Tire and had them within a few business days. Just went on a 1,000 mile road trip and they are great.

I SO want something other than BFG's, they do well right up until the point that I go offroading. Even on just dirt roads, the tread just doesn't last. I have had my truck for a year and about 27K miles and I am on my third set. I WILL be changing them up after Havoc.

They perform great just don't last. Mine dry rotted and split after 15k miles

I know tires sitting around for years on an old car can be dry rotted. What causes it to happen so quickly? Just a manufacturing defect in your set?

My dad and I have both had a number of sets of BFGs without issue and it seems like if it was a prevalent issue it would be dealt with from a safety concern.

Possibly the South Dakota mud. They split after that trip. Deep splits in the tread and they wouldn't hold air

You were able to fit 37s without rubbing and only on mid perch?! Pics please!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who likes the BFGs. After reading all of the other threads I've had a hard time understanding why people don't like them. I can certainly appreciate changing to a specific tire for specific situations, or simply for a different look, but I'm pretty sold on these as ATs. My experience so far has only been street and sand (only a short burst through mud so far), but they have performed very well in both. I could see if I were into playing in the mud more or had more chance to do rocky terrain I'd want something different, but for what I've done so far I've been pretty darn happy.

I am considering a second set of wheels for mounting specific use tires, but for every day I'm sold on sticking with the BFGs.

Rocking stock BFGs. I've been through TRR14 (not too crazy) , Arkansas Diamond Run, and a bunch of time in mud / dirt locally and these tires hold up.

I have had 3 sets of the bfg's on 3 different trucks and had nothing but great things to say about them. I will tell you that I think the stock ones on our raptors were some kind of special compound that did not wear very well. There is a thread on here that talks about an "r" and an "s" version. I cant remember which one is the ones just for the raptor, but when I traded my 35's in last week at discount tire, my buddy is the manager and had his best tech on the switch. He looked at my stock tires, and said look at the difference in the compound is compared to the ones I was getting. He also stated the raptor comes with different BFG's than the 37's I ordered. Sorry I cannot be more specific, but that might explain why so many guys complain about the stock ones off-road. I truly believe the stock ones are different than the after market ones. This guy does tires all day and he was adamant about it.

One final note. For those of us who spend most of our time on pavement, I think the BFG's are the best all around tire. Sure off-road they suffer some compared to a mudder, but how many people really spend more time in the dirt than on pavement? Very few I would guess. For the hardcore off-roaders, get 2 sets and it is all good. There is a reason the BFG AT's are the most widely sold AT of all time, because they appeal to most of what we have the truck for. Predominately road use, and at best weekend light to moderate off-roading. It is the best all around use tire for moderate climates.
