Am i the only one that likes the original BFG's?

I like my stock BFGs. I have run BFG ATs on my Jeep and my Powerstroke and other than the fast wear (~25k), I've never had a problem with them. My Raptor had 30k when I bought it so I had them replace the tires with the OEM. As other people have mentioned, They are not the best in the snow and rain. I love the Duratracs for snow and slow off roading.

Isn't trimming required for 36.3"?

I was under the impression that mid perch was enough for the bfg 36.3. I would like someone to chime in as well. Need new tires soon and that bit of info would help.

I run the 36.3 bfgs. Mid is fine for street use but you still might have a little rubbing in turns. My offset wheels and hard offroading have cracked the stock glass, ripped out mounting bolts on bottom, knocked off flares and destroyed liners. So depends on what you want to do. New front glass is on my to do list.

I don't know what it is because in every other vehicle I have owned I have been hard or brakes and tires. Now that I live where its painfully flat I got 47k on my original brakes and will probably get 50k out of my original BFGs. I drove a 4Runner with BFGs a while back and remember it seemed like they were horrible in the wet but I have no complaints about what came on my truck. I'm only now @47k able to easily step the tail out with a light jab of my right foot.

No complaints here. I'd definitely buy again...

That's likely nearly all the fault of running lower than stock offsets.

Wider stance through wheel offset means they are farther out and more likely to hit the flares, and swing farther towards the front and back of the wheel while turned.

So are you saying that with stock offsets 36.3" will not rub?

Well my sources at Michelin tell me they are not long for this world. The replacement will be coming out before the end of the year. Sales have not been good for the old design. Tread will be much more conventional. KM'2 will not be changed just the AT's.

I like the stock BFGs, will most likely get the same when these run their course. But will probably do the 37s

Just got back from Baja yesterday after 4 days of prerunning on stock BFG's. I had 5 flats, 3 tires completely ruined, got the rest patched and found a worn out used one to get through the trip! Good thing I was carrying 3 spares! I don't think I will be going back to the stock tires!
