Alternative High-Beam Connection ?

If this would work with the F150 Raptor - this would be it. Unfortunatly F150 is not listed .. Was wondering if any of the Listed compatible Ford models would use the same CAN Data structure?

I caution anyone against aftermarket modules that tap into the CAN bus. Every critical system on the vehicle is dependent upon a fully functional network, and any interference in that network can cause an infinite number of issues, ranging from an infotainment issue to a loss of power steering, stability control, transmission engagement, etc. The issues can be intermittent, or may be severe enough to pull down the entire network; I have seen both. When there is high network traffic, such as during an emergency maneuver when ABS and stability control are in full intervention, the last thing you want is your aftermarket high beam module interrupting communication.

Absolutely agree and fully underline that. Thank you for the warning.
- however if the Can bus is read by a inductive sensor (like they have) on the CAN wire - so there is no physical connection -
i assume the possible risk should be almost not existent ?

I had (at least temporarily) given up on my high-beam dream.
There has not yet surfaced a safe way to accomplish.

I'm with you. When a guy like FTO says it can/will/has caused issues, I'm more than happy to take his word for it.

I installed baja design bumper kit connected to high beam. Is easy and safe. I am using with upfitter switches. Just need a low consumption relay to trigger the light. And the high beam signal is coming from the headlight high beam wire. dd8ef5b496bcf21dee6e905f2c029a76.jpg

Yeah ... sorry but if one uses the contact less CAN reader it says:

The Contact-less Reader option allows the CAN Bus interface to read vehicle CAN Bus data without any actual metal to metal connection between the interface and the vehicle CAN Bus. The reader is secured around a section of the vehicle CAN Bus wiring and data is read by an induction method, thus protecting any manufacturers warranty.

Forgive my ignorance, but i thought this could be safe.
Assuming the High beam CAN relay recognizes the F150 - which is not sure yet.

Ok guys, after chatting with them, I ordered one CAN Highbeam relay and the contactless CAN reader.
If it won't work with my 2018 they will help me to get the right code with their - RUI (Research & Update Interface) support system for our CANNECT https://www.canm8.com/cannect-rui-system-page.html Wil keep you updated on the progress.....

whats the cost if you dont mind? Interesting way to do this without tapping highbeam wires.

i know activation of highbeams via canbus is possible
ran z-flash. it forces highbeam on via canbus amongst other things. lots of magic possible hah
