false. from the Snoball trip and meeting with SVT, Jamaal himself, from his own mouth said it was a huge mistake to have the settings. they did it for if customers wanted to adjust the stance, and since then its been nothing but problems. his own words "Do not change your settings, OUR WAY is the BEST WAY!" and yes there was a little tongue n cheek there, but was very adament that it was a huge mistake on their part to make them adjustable.

Then why leave it that way for 4 model years? Did they buy 70,000 sets of shocks at one time in 2009?

Well, your right dude. Jamaal's position on it is that the Fox Shocks are adjustable by THEIR (Fox) design, not by Ford's design, and even though you have the ability to change the setting, it was never Ford's intention to have that perception. Apparently, he has discussed this in an interview online at some point as well.

I didnt mention that SVT hotline didnt have a problem with it, because Im thinking that maybe I wasnt specific enough in my question to be answered correctly, so I just left it at that.

Still, this leaves US in a bit of a spot. I went to mid perch because of raptors running TRR in stock perch last year were bending bumpers and denting skidplates...I didnt remember seeing any mid perch trucks with this issue, so...

I guess if one thing comes of this- It is the fact that what we percieved as an adjustable factory setting was never intended by Ford as such, and now we know the final answer to this. That said, Im out of warranty on my truck anyway, so Jon Lund tune, Mid Perch, and whatever else I do, I can do worry free. Sorry to mislead new Raptor owners here, I didnt know.

This still doesn't answer why in the hell they would put an adjustable shock on a truck that they tell you not to adjust.

That's like putting a bright red button on the dash and labeling it "don't push"

Well no one ever told me not to adjust the shocks when I bought the truck or when I take it to ford to have serviced so the way I see it there should be no issue. It would be different if when I bought the truck the sales guy said, "hey these are adjustable shock but just to let you know if you do adjust them it will void the warranty." Then I can see them being able to denie I warranty claim.

My guess is that they didn't officially endorse it or say anything to the effect of "these shocks are not meant to be adjustable" in 2010-2011 because those trucks didn't have any issues due to lack of a Torsen front diff. In 2012-2013 model years, the Torsen diff poses some problems when raised from bottom perch (mostly on top perch). With this new information and the popularity of the trucks, when asked about it they decided the official response was changed from "mums the word" to "we never intended for the shocks on this truck to be adjustable."

Warranty will probably be, like most other modifications, a dealer to dealer thing. I have a dealer here in the Houston area that is pretty good with providing warranty work for modified vehicles, but they are also independently owned. One of the few that isn't owned by a huge corporation now-a-days...

no, but that is how Fox makes them i would assume. Fox has even said on here, probably for liability reasons only, to not adjust them from Ford's specifications. and once you have the manufacturing set up, changing it costs alot of money, that im sure neither Ford nor Fox wants to incure, so they let it be and then say dont do it... i have nothing to base this on, im just spitballing an idea.

Mid perch is something i want to do myself, and yeah, its probably going to be a dealer to dealer thing, unless you start comming in routinely for front suspension and drive train work, then the mid or top may get ya denied. and the dealers so far around me do not seem to be very friendly to any type of adjustments..... so i gotta stay with where im at unfortunatly....
