Bad friggin ***!!!!!

I hope we do get some stat's today, they've been trolling it along for way too long with no details! I especially want to hear towing capacity in addition to the obvious power numbers.

And yeah the exhaust isn't the most spectacular, but give it time, aftermarket will make the most out of the cards that are dealt, and the turbo whirl will help offset the v6 noise. Yeah yeah blah blah blah it's no v8 exhaust note, but sometimes you need to give a little to get a little...or a lot lol

I'm curious about the new kit coming out to correct this weird shock set up on a Baja inspired truck. I've heard that it will make the rear end do funny stuff in high-G turns that we won't want to have happen when bombing down the road......

Yeah it'll do "funny stuff" called reduce axle wrap, and not hurt anything in "high-G turns" that really aren't all that high of a G turn in an offroad truck with a soft suspension that isn't going to be able to do all that high of a g turn lol.

Ford has been staggering shocks like that for a long time, the gen 2 Lightnings all had staggered shocks and can do much higher g turns bombing down the road, and it helps reduce axle wrap, which these Raptors needed help on to begin with, now with less weight and more power, any moves to reduce axle wrap will be welcomed.

Now a lot of the L guys do swap both shocks to the rear once they get traction bars, since that negates the need for them being staggered to reduce axle wrap, but there's zero notable performance/handling difference from flipping it at that point, it's purely for appearance.

Which is why no serious offroad vehicle has staggered shocks lol

Yeah, I was talking to someone (sorry, can't remember who it was) that builds a lot of trucks. He said that under torque and high speed turns (yeah, they can do that) that the opposing cornered shocks actually make the axle 'steer' in funny ways creating an unbalanced 'loose' feeling. It could be in the direction that you are going or opposite - but that is why you won't see them.

That's not possible! The Gen 2 is the pinnacle of offroad performance! Ford knows best and they wouldn't do that to the Gen 2! Baja mode, military grade, non adjustable 3.0's, aluminum, buzzwords, smoke an mirrors.

Glad it has staggered shocks. Axle wrap is bad. Ford engineers know what they're doing.
