Ran hard today, got muddy. Went to dinner in sweetwater came out and truck doesn't want to idle. Minder power it's okay, but wants to die on idle. Popped the hood to find the stupid Airaid came off again, so I might have sucked a little water or moisture. Question is what to do now?

Clean it and get the airaid on and see what it will do. I've heard of people leaving engines they thought were hydro locked sit for 24 hours and having them turn over. The fact that it drove to where you stopped probably means you are in good shape. You will need to clean it out especially if the maf is dirty.

I've had my filters fall off before and have dust clog up the Mass air flow sensor, if you catch it in time you can clean it, if not I've had onto replace them before. Same deal, truck wouldn't idle on its own, but at 1500+ RPM's it clears up so that'd be the 1st I'd look at myself

As others have said, clean the throttle body out. spray the MAF sensor with some carb cleaner. You should be good. I' ve never had my Airaid filter fall off but when I heard that others have had problems, I used foam to keep it in place. Pics are in the thread mentioned above.

We've had guys with the stock air box and filter suck water into their engines. With no long term issues. Going back to stock is Not a solution. This is just a problem everyone who off roads needs to be aware of.

I've been telling people for over a year.....that the AIR AIDS CAI is THE WORST CAI out there. It's for street queens ONLY. Total crap design. *Sigh
