Like I said in the powder coating thread. I wasn't going to run these until spring but after seeing how nice the stock wheels look powder coated I'm going to run these for a cpl of wks while I get my stock wheels done.

So walker Evans has back spacing all the way up to 5 and 1/2. Would that be better or would 5 be best?

Their forged wheels do have multiple back spacing options since they're custom built. Are you after a true beadlock? If so what are your plans for the truck? Certain aftermarket upper control arms will only allow so much backspace before the tire hits it. If UCA's are possibility for you stay around 5" or less. If you plan to leave it stock and don't want the wheels sticking out go with the 5.5".

I ordered 37s and RPG collars. I plan on keeping it pretty mild for now. I'm ordering real beadlocks.

@CUSTOMWHEELS4U

Can you get four of the 17" +8mm American Eagle 012s in the grey finish? Summit has two in stock and everyone else seems to be out of stock.

Edit: Actually Summit is showing four in stock now. Can you get these? I'd rather get them from you than Summit.

I appreciate the love but we actually don't sell Eagle. They actually used to be a vendor on the forum. I'd try calling them direct and asking for the Ford Raptor forum discount lol.

The 5.5" backspace will help clear those 37's. Just remember with beadlocks it's recommended to re-torque every 500 miles.

The 17x8.5 weighs right at 20lbs. Should be a big weight savings over both the factory wheels.

Might be a dumb question, but what benefit does a lighter wheel have? Whether it's 20lbs or 35lbs, what's the difference if it's rolling? I've heard of "unsprung weight", but what does that help with ? Jumping? I'm not planning on jumping, so should I be concerned about the weight of a wheel?
