Have been using my North star gas washer for years (5-6?) to wash the motorcylces and trucks, and has never missed a beat. The model i have happenes to be heated as well and uses diesel to power the furnace.

They actually make a very good pressure washer. I saw several at Northern Tool and if I had not purchased the Yamaha I would have purchased a North Star.

This is the best there is that is somewhat affordable. I am sure that the brain trust will disagree with me. No biggie. I have only been in the pressure washing business for 25 years and have 25 rigs on the road on a daily basis.

Gas powered pressure washer?

I'm going to lowes or Home Depot tomorrow and looking to get a decent power washer. I've probably spent over $200 the past year washing mud and crap off the truck so I figured it only makes sense to but my own lol my question is does anyone have suggestions on a good reliable brand/model? I get chicks of mud and dust and dirt but mainly want something powerful enough for the real stuck on mud and chunks... Any hep would be much appreciated!

I have one made by John Deere I think. Got from lowes for a couple hundred bucks. It's been great. No problems at all. It has a little Briggs and Stratton on it. I'm almost positive it's john Deere lol it's been a while since I've used it. I think any of them with a gas motor would be fine. Just don't do electric. Haven't had any luck at all with them

So, some guys have accused me of being a know-it-all, so I'll keep it short. I wash all kinds of dirty equipment at my shop. We've got a HOTSY, but they don't sell those at Lowes. The one I've got at home we got at Lowes. Had it for 3-4 years. Any of the gas powered ones are gonna work good. The only advice I can give is get a longer hose! You won't want the shorties that come with the machine. Best investment a truck guy can have is a washer at home.....
