This is the best set up if you already have air on board. Get the HD version, these guys drive me crazy but watch the whole thing and see how tall the HD version goes. I have a little one that can run off the Co2 tank for paint ball guns or one of the bb gun Co2 cartridges. Small, Fast, light, yes their expensive, but so is fixing your tailgate or fender when the Hi Lift falls into it or your POS Craftsman won't jack your truck up because it is full of air and needs to be bleed out in the middle of nowhere. I am getting the HD for my Bed Cage BigJ has inspired me to build.

And the cool ideas just keep coming. This forum is the shit!:peace:

Not sure now which solution I'm gonna end up going with, but I definitely have more ammo now!

Thanks guys......and sorry for highjacking (no pun intended) this thread.

Wow that's a really cool idea... but the speed would freak me out. Unless all four are on relatively even flat ground, we're gonna need to be lifting at some weird angles and speed it your enemy in that case. With a bottle jack, you'll be able to slowly lift and adjust the load if needed before SHTF.

Last night I added the PowerBuilt to my rig (linked to above). I found a spot for it and strapped it down to the rack temporarily. I'll find a better home for it for the long run, but for now its there if I need it. I'm really thinking between the jackstand and its built in bottle jack, and the hi lift, I've got my bases covered as well as I can realistically.

The customer reviews are not so hot on this.
I was leery too. It seems they had some QC issues in the past, which apparently have now been resolved. When I bought mine, I went into the store and hand picked which one to take home. I then cycled it a dozen times just to see and so far so good. If you've got a TSC near you, head in and see what's what; easy returns that way too. If you can end up with a good/post QC issues one, I'm really thinking these are a great solution. Only time will tell though.

I was thinking the same thing about the speed when it raises. Does anybody know of a way to control/slow the speed?

Well you could always add your own regulator I suppose?

I like that! The sticker on the stock is a nice touch.

I like the crew on this website. Whether it's the zombie apocalypse or Red Dawn we could band together "The Postman"-style and do allright.
