A little surprised at the difference in performance...

I went to a large gun club I'm in today. We have had about 30" from 3 different storms with multiple layers of crust that has settled some and gotten really heavy. The ranges are not plowed, only the access road is. I got down to the first range and there was an F-150 and a Ram 1500 parked side by side right at the end of the access road, blocking it. I asked them if one of them could move in line with each other so I could get by. The Ford guy said they tried driving in, but got stuck, and they had to dig his truck out. He moved his truck for me and said he's curious how a Raptor would do.

I put it in Deep Snow and drove around like nothing. I made a big loop around all the ranges for a victory lap and to break a trail for other guys. I expected a lot from this truck, but I didn't appreciate that it was THAT MUCH better than a standard F-150 in the snow. In Deep Snow mode and the diff's locked it went through really easy, no struggle at all. Great time with shooting and ******** around with the truck.

There is only one thing I REALLY don't believe!

Where the hell did you find ammo?????

I always keep several cases of 9 on hand, plus I reload. It also helps that a good friend has a gun shop. I just got some 9 and some .223 for friends last week. It is REALLY TOUGH though, I know the shop just placed an ammo order for 2022!

Raptors are a bit higher up and a wider track, far superior to other trucks in the snow. Made you feel young again, didn't it.

It really did, awesome fun hooning a little bit in the truck and shooting some steel.

I’m willing to bet the big difference in this case were the tires. Most people buy half ton trucks thinking that it suddenly makes them snowvincible. They don’t realize that a majority of the time it’s equipped with the same crappy all-season tires as the FWD car they traded in.

I prefer to think it is my ginormous ***** that makes the truck so good in the snow. If you look closely in the third picture I posted, you can see where I accidentally drug the dragon and my giant balls in the snow. :pimp:
