A little surprised at the difference in performance...

I remember 2 yrs ago pushing my buddies F150 out of a small ditch in the snow thinking the whole time, “why didn’t we take my truck?”
Raptor is so capable in the snow.

Tires. Most trucks come with all seasons. The Raptor doesn't have much in the way of mechanical setup that helps here. Little more ground clearance but mostly it's the off-road tires that give you the snow traction you need. I've seen someone drive a Subaru STI through snow this deep, plowing it with the bumper. Snow tires and four driven wheels matter more than anything else.

I’m willing to bet that a rear locker and torsen front helped, but I would’ve had no qualms about doing the same in my old F-250 with Altimax Artics and a Detroit True-Trac.

That STi had a lot of mechanical advantage though. The center diff and customization options on those cars is nothing short of insane.

Yep agreed about the locker. It does actually make a huge difference to have a locker or LSD. Amazing how useless the Raptor is in snow when in RWD with the diff open. Just picks a tire and spins all the torque away.

Blame the aluminum bed for that. It’s ass is very light.

I have had several modern Fords before my Raptor and I would normally have great snow tires on them all. The real big difference I have noticed is definitely having the Torsen front differential in addition to the rear locker. It made a lot bigger difference than I was expecting.

That’s the way to show fellow shooters how inferior they are to you! Did you at least offer to drag them down to the range with you and so they could behold your awesomeness?

How come I’m not surprised you managed to point those spots out to all of us in terms we have come to expect...lol!!
