A Little Help Please

Little noobie here and i just don't have the $$ to buy a full catback.

I've read about, seen, heard every muffler and here is what i want to do..
Delete the resonator. replace the stock muffler with a 3" in/3" out borla XR-1 muffler.
then a 3"in 2.5" dual outlet magnaflow Y- Pipe, and use the stock dual pipes.
im planning on going to a local muffler shop to get this done.

..Can this be done? suggestions?

yup that should work. any decent exhaust shop should be able to easily pull this off without an issue

alright thanks. talked to my local muffler shop and he said it should be no problem.
I just placed the order no looking back now!

Here is the Magnaflow 3" in, dual 2.5" out welded to all of the stock stuff on my truck I got installed last Saturday. Therefore the only thing changed was the muffler. Sounds great, but not too loud on the freeway. At least you can hear yourself think still.

still not 100% on deleting the resonator..

I am looking forward to hearing this combination. I may copy you if it sounds good. This would be a quick fix until I save up for headers and true dual exhaust.
