A Ford tech's take on "THE CLUNK" (THE ONE and ONLY CLUNK THREAD)

ok, at the 32 mark I heard a squeek, I account for being a chirp from the rear tires...

at the 51-52 mark ( i haven't reviewed this part yet), doesn't sound like tire chirp, but a more mechanical clunk....

Thru the whole vid, thats the only time I would bet $$$ its the clunk.

Hey BDRAG, I heard the "CLU CLUNK" sound. I heard at the 32second mark and again at the 51-52 second mark.

Its the same sound that my SCrew makes, and it only has 1800 miles on it, but not worried, figure Ford will come up with a fix at some point.

Oh I am not worried. My FX4 did it for 7 years. I am use to it. Its not gonna break, just go Clu CLUNK till the end of time. Part of the package! HAhahaaaaa. The noise at the 51 second mark is the same noise but much closer together because the truck is hittin it a little harder. Its there for sure.

Don't go to Vegas there bud! AHhahaaaaa. I think the smell in the air down there from Pasadina has rueined you sense of hearing! HAhahaaaaaaa.

I would like to thank you sir. I hope your's, and all who have it, gets resolved. But I would like to thank you for not totally turning your back on what this truck is and saying it's the biggest $50k ************* on the road.......like a million other threads on another forum do. There's waaaaay more to this truck than a driveshaft and alot of people are so quick to call Ford a deadbeat company and this truck a pile of crap. So thank you for having some faith

Well, some guys say they have been putting up with this for years, and thats not something I'm willing to do.... $13,000 or $250,000... no matter... I'm also going to get my documents in order, so when I need to go a different path, I'm more than ready to do so.

I have a 2009 F250 and only have 37,000 on it, and never an issue (yet).

Actually, this may not be the biggest $50,000 ************* on the road, but in the last 5 years I've bought cars ranging from $25k to $87k and the Raptor is the ONLY vehicle I've had to take to the dealer more than 2 times within the first 2,000 miles, and still not have it resolved.

POS? not yet.... the issue is this apparently has been occurring for years and years without a fix. I've never had a vehicle with an odd noise and the dealer/mfgr tells me to "deal with it for now".

This truck is the best vehicle I have ever owned. It is by far not a POS, some of these guys are coming from luxury cars to a truck and expecting it to ride like a luxury car, HELLO, its a freaking truck. But I'm not here to rant.

The only thing I may do is sue Ford for reimbursement of my future medical bills, I can't seem to get this smile off my face every time I get in and start thjs truck up, and it's starting to hurt. I will have to go see a doctor about it before my face becomes stuck like this.
