Well, some guys say they have been putting up with this for years, and thats not something I'm willing to do.... $13,000 or $250,000... no matter... I'm also going to get my documents in order, so when I need to go a different path, I'm more than ready to do so.

I have a 2009 F250 and only have 37,000 on it, and never an issue (yet).

Actually, this may not be the biggest $50,000 ************* on the road, but in the last 5 years I've bought cars ranging from $25k to $87k and the Raptor is the ONLY vehicle I've had to take to the dealer more than 2 times within the first 2,000 miles, and still not have it resolved.

POS? not yet.... the issue is this apparently has been occurring for years and years without a fix. I've never had a vehicle with an odd noise and the dealer/mfgr tells me to "deal with it for now".

lol

I feel the same way. I've owned five new vehicles in the past ten years and none of them have had an issue even approaching this one. If I don't ease on the gas like a grandmother there's a very audible sound (and worse yet) a harsh jerk felt inside the cab. It's embarrassing and disheartening. Ford needs to spend less money on second rate actors to promote their vehicles and more on engineering and quality control to ensure that this kind of thing doesn't happen.

TW, if you think your about to be EMBARASSED by a mechanical noise, you my just go ahead and sell it now! HAhahaaaaa.

Now this is what I do IF I think I am gonna GET ON IT from a light or whatever the event may be. I just PRE STAGE. A slight POWER BRAKE and PRE LOAD and you never hear the noise, its already had the drive line slack taken out.

I really think its the fact that the tranny downshifts as you slow down and unloads the drive line leaving the slack to be re taken up when ya add power. Its no big deal to me.

I paid more for my Raptor than my wifes C6 Vett with every option but the power valve. Stickerd at $58 K we got it for $49 K a week before GM became OBAMA MOTORS. The quality and fit on the Vett is NO BETTER than the Raptor. The paint is better, thicker but in hidden areas, GM shafted the VETT Owners with bare plastic, raw fiberglass edges, access holes blasted and not debured just raw hacked out shit. So FORD may have a missing eye here and there but in My OPINION, FORD does a SMACK DOWN on a QUALITY PRODUCT over GM in my book.

Like others have said, ITS A TRUCK! HAhahaaaaaaa. Enjoy it!

I have a huge man-crush on Mike Rowe! He's the bomb and worth every cent Ford pays him.:****:

Mine has been clunking since day 1. I tell people it's part of the Raptor's personality and make them feel lessor about not having one.

Use everything to your advantage, guys!

saying the Corvette is no better than the Raptor is like saying Charlie Sheen is NO CRAZIER than Gary Busey....

poor fit/weak finish/crappy materials are the CORNERSTONE of Detroits finest.

Ford is working on a fix for your 11 raptors just an FYI

3007 - 2011 RAPTOR DRIVELINE CLUNK/SLIP/BUMP/CHIRP
SOME 2011 F-150 RAPTOR VEHICLES MAY EXHIBIT EXCESSIVE CLUNK OR A CHIRP/SLIP/BUMP CONDITION FROM THE DRIVESHAFT ON ACCELERATION FROM A STOP OR WHEN BRINGING THE VEHICLE TO A STOP. GREASING THE SLIP YOKE OR DRIVESHAFT REPLACEMENT WILL RESULT IN REPEAT REPAIR ATTEMPTS. ENGINEERING IS INVESTIGATING THROUGH THE QUICKER SERVICE FIX (QSF) PROCESS, AND IS DEVELOPING A SERVICE REPAIR PROCEDURE. CONTINUE TO MONITOR OASIS FOR UPDATES.

"CLUNK/SLIP/BUMP/CHIRP"

That sounds a lot like my first time in the sack back in the 9th grade with my girlfriend Holly...
