Hi Crystal, is there a solution for those of us that have the "clunk" and are outside of the narrow serial range posted elsewhere in this thread? I have a 2013 Screw and the clunk is really bad. I have had it to a dealer and there was zero change in spite of their service record saying the noise was gone. I love the truck, but I HATE this clunk!! My kids ask what's wrong with the truck, they say, "Dad, what was that BANG?" I have lubed the slip yoke (which got rid of the clunk temporarily) but it came back shortly after. Surely there is a fix for this that Ford can help us out with. Any help would be genuinely appreciated. Thank you!

I think my 2014 is starting to have this issue, guess I better start reading...

Hey, folks!

I'll be happy to do what I can to help you out as well. First things first, though - I need to know how many miles are on your trucks and whether or not you've been to the dealer for diagnosis yet. Let me know; I'll get to work on options to quiet the clunk. :)

I climbed underneath the truck to look at what they repaired on my rig to eliminate the clunk. The seal kit is a rubber seal that fits snug around the drive line shaft itself. I assume that they pack it with grease and then reassemble it. Mine is as smooth as silk and I have had no more issues.

If you believe a new drive shaft will fix the problem then knock yourselves out but good dealerships will long term Ford Master Mechanics know how to fix this problem.

Thanks jamanrr...I am going to check with my dealer about this fix. Seems like Ford should have been building our trucks with these seals in place from the factory?? With the clunk being so prevalent and a $20 part makes it go away....seems pretty obvious what they should be doing here, lol.
