...Really only can hear it in parking lots when backing out of tight spots. A very subtle pop when swapping between fwd and reverse...

Hi gang,

If an unusual sound has you concerned, I'd recommend getting it documented and diagnosed at the dealer. I'm always happy to see what I can do to help as well; once you have a diagnosis, send a PM my way and I'll do some research. Be sure to include your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership.

We aren't gang members. Please don't stereotype me because I'm Mexican with a shaved head and tattoos. Show some class

Thanks Crystal, but after the dealership having my truck for a total of 4 days and all they had to say is it's normal?!... I'm finished with Ford service. Of course this was Star Ford in Glendale, CA and I've heard they're notorious for weaseling out of warranty work. I just got it in writing that it's normal and if my transfer case decides to blow up one day... It's on them.

Been there too. Had mine in two or three times to look at it. Had the tech ride with me and he hears it too. They say it's normal. I think it's annoying. I have two noises. One is the shocks which gets worse the colder it is. The other is the driveshaft...and I can feel the whole rear shift when I stop and start. I was hoping to get the driveshaft tsb fix on my 2010 but they only did it for 11+. Although I have heard some with 10s had it done.

Did any of your raptors pop while going uphill in reverse? I get 3 distinct pops when I reverse uphill.

yeah i hear 2-3 clicking noises when i shift from drive to reverse backing into my driveway....I also hear a clicking noise when i do a cali stop at stop signs (slow down almost to a complete stop and then get back on the gas) i also hear the same clicking noise getting off the gas after WOT.

Taking mine to the dealer on friday

Crystal,

per another thread, i will let you know what the dealer says..thank you for keeping up with issues members have. I think it's a smart idea for Ford to have people like you in the forums...hopefully to collect data on good/bad things that ford can improve on or contuine to do to keep the consumers happy

Be prepared for the "it's normal excuse".

So did the dealer find a problem or did they call it normal?

No there is a TSB that pretty much to a T describes what my truck is doing...they greased it up and it still makes the noise so now they ordered parts.

The TSB says to first grease it. If that doesn't work then you replace the parts. Can't remember what parts they ordered. When they call me to come in ill post it up
