I did post pictures of the current driveshaft and the new driveshaft yoke. I don't remember if its on this thread or my clunk is fixed thread. If you browse around you will find it though.

Thanks after some digging found the pics.

Strange thing for me I have the orignal drive shaft and build date of 3-11 but my VIN does not show needing this recall . Going round with service writer on it now . Will keep you guys posted.

My truck does not clunk bad now , but feels a little loose especialy over bumps. My thinking is to get this updated taken care of now and not wait . Will keep you guys posted . Any thoughts on this ? Would you go after it ?

2011 Recall Notices

Hey Guys,

With the recent complaints about the "clunk" and now the "frame issues"... I bought my 2011 SCREW this past April. I couldn't tell you when it was built though...

I've never had a recall on any of my vehicles in past... forgive my naivety, but IF there's a recall issue on my truck, THEY send you a written notice right? Does that come from Ford directly, or from the dealership?

And recall work, I can take it to any dealership, right? (I bought my Raptor from a dealership 90 minutes away, although we've got one right down the road).

Should I call the dealership and have them check to see if there's a recall on my truck regarding the frame issue? And weren't there some trucks having the drive shaft replaced (is that what the clunk was about)?

All good questions:

• You can find build date on the sticker on Drivers door. Owners mannual will give you detail on what it is telling you.
• You can register your truck at Ford.com . You can look on line with VIN at Ford if you have a recall on your truck with the VIN
• Yes any dealer can do the warranty work.
• Yes you can call the dealer and have them look it up . They will want your VIN.
• Heads up I have a build date of 3/11 and they are saying I am not affected by the recall , yet I am I have confirmed I have the original drive shaft and yoke. Sorting through that now with Ford. I believe this is due to my build date being one day before the cuttoff and it was a Friday . They probably finished my truck on a Monday and My VIN did not make it in system as a 3/11 build date even though the Sticker previously mentioned states 3/11.
• Hope this info helps.

I just received the notice today in the mail for Customer Satisfaction Program 11B25 for the rear driveshaft yoke. It would seem that depending on where you live (I'm in Wisconsin) since they appear to be sent from Dearborn, you should receive the notice soon.

Got the same notice in Texas today...Of course, I already did the shaft swap. Interestingly enough, I was on the Ford Owner site earlier today and there were no such recalls on file for my truck.
