Major BS on your dealer. If you bring your vehicle in, it has the clunk, you fall under the parameters of the tsb, then there's no reason why the part shouldn't be ordered or installed if they have it. Never have I ever had to call an engineer and have him agree that that's what should happen. The only time an engineer is called is when a tech calls "hotline" for an issue that's got him pretty much stumped or to see if there's anything related that's not already a known condition. Take it somewhere else if they want to make you jump through hoops.

There's another dealer fairly close to the office. I can drop by there during lunch to see if may be they can help me out. I agree, the original dealer is being a pain in the butt. I thought surely after going up the chain a bit I might get a little help and may be coordinate the fix with my next oil change but, no...It almost sounds like they don't like doing maintenance or warranty work for people with ESP contracts.

I had to do the same thing. It sucks, but not hearing a clunk every time I take off was worth the inconvenience.

Yup...Not only that, the second dealer (Tommie Vaughn Ford, Houston, TX) I just left told me they weren't even going to look at it because I'd already taken it to another dealer. He said if I'd started with them, he'd just order the part because they'd already lubed the slip-yoke and the only choice at that point is to replace the drive shaft. I had been thinking of buying a GT500 at the end of the year to go with the truck but now, I think I'm either going to do a Z06, Challenger SRT8, or look at a German option.

I also think this may be my last Ford if for no reason other than their dealer don't seem to know when they are making a bad customer experience even worse. I really don't understand why I've got to make two trips in when we've already established the problem is the slip yoke. Ford knows it and so does just about every Raptor owner on the planet....The TSB wouldn't exist otherwise.

You guys will never believe this one...Just called Sterling McCall Ford in Houston, Texas and asked for the service desk. Guy says he's not a service manager, just a technician.

Ford: "Service Dept"
Me: "Hello, I'd like to talk with someone about servicing an F-150 Raptor"
Ford: "Well, I'm not a service manager...I'm just a technician"
Me: "I'm just trying to set up a servie appointment and look into a TSB for a Raptor"
Ford: "A Raptor?"
Me: "Yeah, F-150 Raptor"
Ford: "I've never heard of a Raptor...What do you want to know about it?"
Me: "Uh, you know what?...Nevermind, goodbye."

Gentlemen, that conversation happend at 12:45pm central...I shit you not!

I agree 100%. While I love my Raptor. I ******* hate their dealerships. I had an Audi and the experience was great w any place I took it to.
Ford on the other hand makes me want to give the car back as a **** you/don't call me every again.

My phone convo went like this:

Me: Hi, I have a problem with my Raptor. It's the TSB, Clunk issue.
Ford: Okay, let's set up an appointment. You can come in, we will do a preliminary test drive, if you have the part we will order it and you can come back when it arrives.
Me: Ok, I know there is an issue and it would save alot of time if y'all could order it and then install.
Ford: No dealership I've ever heard of does that.
Me: Really??
Ford: Yes, really...

I hung up. It's their attitude. Just not customer friendly, ****** a.

I've called a forth dealer, Helfman Ford. This one had actually heard of an F-150 Raptor! The guy laughed out loud when I said, "Oh good, you've heard of it! Sterling McCall Ford's tech said he hadn't heard of such a thing." Helfman said they have to look at it but, since I'm due for an oil change, they can at least get me in and out while taking care of that part this afternoon and that it will probably take three or four days to get the part in. He went on to say that it shouldn't take more than an hour to swap the shaft once the part is in...Stark comparison to, you might have to drop it off and leave it with us for a day or two while we check it out to see if it really is the slip yoke AGAIN.

Randy, from all that I've heard/read, if I'd found this forum before I found my truck, I would have placed my order with you. I'm just shocked that Texas, Georgia or any point south of Chicago would be home to such complete ********* and assclowns. These guys are using oxygen that good people need and ruining a brand along the way.
