My dealer ignored that bit of information, and my shaft comes in next week. Mine was a mid 2010 build.

Hope your right cause Im same boat and planning to chase this problem in 1000k when I hit the 20k mark.

Yup, it's on my 4 page invoice from picking up the truck today. Also on order (from US) is my new front left axle assembly. I had more than one type of clunk (but I didn't break it on purpose...)

Trick is to befriend your service advisor at the dealer. He just beams when I drive in, as my exhaust rattles the windows in there, and he knows I drive it like it was meant to be driven. I've had hoses/lines replaced that Ford will never know about, but its due to being nice, respectful, knowledgeable, and handing him the occasional TSB he's never seen before!

Did anyone get a comment from their Ford technician about the condition of the transmission output? Whether it showed any galling or unusual wear from the original slip yoke slop?

No damage ever to be found in the many that I've done.
