Apologies to the moderators who undoubtedly needed to step in and discipline us kids in the sandbox.

And Apologies to Truck Wolf as I got bent outta shape a bit at your posts on this and other threads. I'll try and keep a more level head in the future and try not to post while drinking. Well, I'll work on the level head thing first. :)

This past week I've had several conflicts with members here, and although I've not tried to offend initially, I understand that as an outsider, some members have pretty strong political views and my personal opinions can incite some anger. So I'll just stay out of it, and focus on the real topic at hand - fun stuff like my 11 hour tour in the trails today

No need to apologize to me, JP. And posting while drinking is a tradition that I hope will never go away! We're all Raptor owners at the end of the day and that's what this forum is all about. Just keep the rubber side down!

Does the driveshaft with the "BC" suffix have the new nickel coated slip yoke or is this something entirely different?

That I dont know the answer to. Corrent me if im wrong but I think I read somewhere that you were getting a new drivesahft warrantied but it was under that part #BC which was different from the #BB?

I personally would just wait for the TSB to come out. I know it can be a pain in the ass to get down to the dealership multiple times for the same problem so if you wanna be sure your getting the right part Id wait unless someone has a solid answer for you. Also the fix for this problem is still very new. They just gave the peices for the kit part numbers on friday which still havnt been offically released so you cant look them up yet and the procedure is still awaiting final approval from Ford to be released......its that fresh and new and why no one you ask at a dealership will probably know about it. So I cant comment on the part number diffrences on the drivesafts.

Will the new trucks have the new drive shaft installed.

Good question.........and again who knows......for the record this is only a slip yoke change, the driveshaft doesnt get replaced.

Usually TSBs dont affect all vehicles so its one of those deals where they will probably do nothing diffrent and if you buy a truck with this issue they will just have the dealership perform the TSB as needed.

Or I could be wrong and they may throw it in there on all new builds.

Regardless if the truck has a clunk its like a 30 minute job to fix it, not a big deal compared to some of the other TSBs in the past. Like diesel EGR coolers uhhggggahhhh

Thanks. I may just wait another week or two until there's clarity on the issue.

There's promising word from one of our own Ford tech's on the site, Speed45.......he was notified that a new slip yoke will infact be coming in the form of a TSB, should be in about 2 weeks or so.
