So it is gonna be a whole new driveshaft.....I assume this new slip yoke will be part of it.

I would also bet its a slightly longer drive shaft and new yoke. ??? Gonna stop in and see what dealer wants to order my new parts. They will be the ones that get my bizzzzz.

All trucks built after Mar 12th are suppose to be clunk free. Not sure what's changed because we all have drive shaft model numbers that are all over the board. BB BC etc etc.

from what I know (take it or leave it) the driveshaft includes a new, tighter tolerance slip yoke (narrower ID) already mounted to what I assume is the same driveshaft.

Why they do it like that, I have no clue. maybe its to insure balance, maybe its to make the swap .4 hours and get em back on the road, maybe its to make sure its easy enough a Ford tech can do the swap without me having to help.

Mine should be in Friday if all goes well.

Sweet.....

I'm betting the driveshaft is actually the same length as it is now (they list 133"wb for SC and 145" fro CC) and the slip yoke is what's actually different.

That's what I'm thinking, different slip yoke to address the issue. Having it already mounted onto the driveshaft and replacing the unit as a whole will be much easier and time effective, rather than going through the motions of replacing the yoke and messing with the u-joint. Four bolts and it's in and out.
