In all fairness, it was you that brought up mileage. You didn't seem to have a problem criticizing mileage when you were talking about EB motors. In fact, when you mentioned it, it comprised of 50% of your complaints. You mentioned blown engines and mileage.

Why shift goal posts now?

Because I actually increased in MPG going to the 6.2 which I found ironic. My 3.5 Eco was not reliable and drank fuel like a semi 11-12 mpg (yes I know semi's get worse than this). Way worse when towing heavy. No idea why it just did. Never expected to average better mileage when I purchased my 6.2.

That being said I knew 6.2 were not MPG machines and I was not concerned whatsoever. If anything I am excited I have a 10 gallon larger tank with the additional MPG I can drive it forever with out filling up (450-500 miles)! 26 gallon tank is a joke on a pickup truck.

my spidey senses were tingling a bit... but I still haven't seen the tell tale posting style, so for me, the jury is still out

No idea who you are all talking about but I am not the person you think I am. As for the girl in the blue dress (my wife) she also agrees that she liked the V8 Raptor better after driving both.. Sound and power had us both sold! In fact she drives it to work quite often she likes it so much! Turns quite a bit of heads doing it too!

You and your wife should startup a YouTube review channel. You’ll be unique in that you’ll be the only one among both amateur and professional reviews that prefer the Gen1 drive over the Gen2

Myself and my wife also prefer a Gen 1 to a Gen 2.

I know it just blows your mind that someone could prefer anything over your personal choice but, yeah dude- it's ******* real.

Ironically "Fast lane truck" disagrees as well...

This guy thinks exactly the same as I do. Except he is running a NA Raptor in this test.

I like the new Raptor, I love its looks, its options, and its stock horsepower. But I love a supercharged 600+ hp v8 more. That is something I am not able to buy unless I get a gen 1. With the VMP tuning package and a smaller supercharger pulley I have put on it will eat a Gen 2 alive. What is not to love? Maybe I will even go crazy and stoke it and put more boost to it. That is yet to be decided.

If you like the drive it as you buy it Raptor and v8 sound in your speakers is ok with you buy a Gen 2. Its a great truck. Nobody says it isn't. Just is not for me.

Why people bash the 6.2 so much is beyond me. Its a beast when done right!
