This is not the sort of mod you want to just perform without doing some research or talking to experts... this can seriously injure or KILL you if done incorrectly... which from your pictures, you may have done without knowing.

This graph illustrates the appropriate or "acceptable" angles to reduce possibility of SERIOUS injury:

Here is an excerp from one of the other forums:

A VERY close friend of mine was killed instantly in an offroad accident at 30-35 mph from her improperly installed shoulder harnesses crushing her spine and breaking it in multiple locations. The harnesses were improperly secured to the floor with no support behind the shoulders. The same accident broke her husband's leg which within two weeks after the accident caused his complete blindness from bone fragments blocking blood flow to his optic nerve.

People... you can NOT half-ass safety items, especially restraints. 4-point harnesses are designed to be used in conjuction with a proper seat, proper roll cage, and proper harness bar. Without pre-tensioners like stock seatbelts have, and excessive slack due to the poor fitment, seat padding, and extra harness lengths needed to "make it work", you can literally do more harm than the stock seat-belt in a stock truck!

Just words of caution... don't want to see fellow owners hurt!

It is hard to tell for sure from these pictures, but it looks like there is a gap in between the angle iron and the bottom of the floor. It looks like the floor contour forces that situation, but that puts those bolts into bending which is a big no-no for any sort of structural application. What type of bolts / nuts did you use? Grade 8 or better?

That is why I used the 2x2x.25 angle iron. In the situation it's good for way more stress then the stock seat belt anchors are the von misses stress was well below the allowable limits for a36 steel when I ran the FEA.

I'm also full aware this is not a full install. It's just to keep me in the seat and not have the seat belt pre-tentioner trying to strangle me.
