While making a slow right turn, it felt like 4WD was engaged. I noticed the locking differential light was on. When I pulled the button out to check, the whole knob came out of the dash.
Fuse 68 (25A) was pulled and it disabled the whole assembly. Being a pavement princess, I only engage 4WD to "exercise" it for about a mile periodically in case I need it one day. It was about a 10 minute fix once the new one arrived. 3 clips hold it in the dash, and 1 electrical connection on the rear. The new one snaps right in.
