If you guys think your gonna get these numbers on HO 3.5L your nuts.
The GT employs a four-stage external dry sump oil pump and has an oil capacity of 15.3 US quarts (14.5 L).
That's just one thing you are going to have to do to keep the motor from blowing up.
Then after you spend another $30K with aftermarket upgrades (which doesn't exist) you may have something.
The dry sump is for cornering. The corvettes or any sports car is going to have a similar system so the motor doesn’t grenade going through the turn. The camshafts probably shifted the power band to the upper limits compared to the Raptor where the power comes on at lower rpm range (truck).

Turbo kit for the Raptor most likely need to upgrade engine https://www.full-race.com/store/eco...-f-150-raptor-freakoboost-twin-efr-turbo-kit/

As stated earlier, heat is the killer of power on forced induction motors. I’ve had the ball bearing borg Warner turbos on other applications and it sounded like a diesel when the turbos are spooling up. Imagine the transmission or axles would give out if you built the motor and upgraded turbos. $30k is a drop in the bucket when talking about a $500k price tag for a GT and would have to be vetted by Ford before you’re even allowed an allocation.

Blown V8 Gen II, not sure on price, but probably more than I’m willing to spend. I’d rather have a stock Gen II and a GT500 or C8.

There is a big difference in V8 sounds... (seems to be the #1 reason people prefer a V8).

Dodge and Chevy trucks (even older Fords) pull up near me with loud exhaust systems and it sounds like crap... like a boat.

It needs to be a crisp, raspy snappiness to the note... not a bloaty, wafting, ogre sound.

Or farting sounds. You left that one out.

Did they release the 7.3 weight? Someone mentioned 100lbs more... sounds like a light estimate.

7.3 is a pushrod engine meaning it is lighter vs a 6.2. The 6.2 weighs 580lb the 3.5 Ecoboost is 449. So the 7.3 should be in between these engines in term of weight.

They’d never put the 7.3L engine in the Raptor...it’d be a variant of the GT350 engine if anything.

The 7.3L is a workhorse..lower compression, simple...an all around more reliable & easily serviceable design.
