Got the ccfl's today, installed one and broke the other, they are so thin its hard to work with them, Im still learning. took a pic of the one i did install, looks pretty sweet.

Also got this set installed in my truck, aimed and clocked. These things look NASTY ! Makes me think of
something from Terminator. Ill take some pics in the morning.

Ordered my rebuild kit from Retrofit Solutions today. Looking forward to rebuilding my stock headlights. Love the blacked out look with ccfls. Thanks to Ducati for all the great info and work in this thread. Should make my first rebuild go fairly smooth.

I read that the Recon and Spyder HIDs have big problems with condensation. Since you are opening up the factory headlights to do some mods, are you experiencing any condensation issues?

Would these (the plain and the murdered) be considered street legal in most states? Also, if I installed a set of murdered headlights, I'd want a matching set of murdered taillights. Do you have anything in the works?

The only part that wouldn't be street legal would be blacking out the orange reflector on the side. You could probably argue it if you just smoked it.

These retro'd stock lights will be sealed back up properly so I dont expect any condensation issues.

For tails a lot of guys are tinting them, with nightshades or for the best results go to a local paint shop and have them sprayed with clear and a little black mixed together.

You can still see the bulb through it because I use nightshades, Cine may be right but I highly doubt you would get harassed for it. I can always not tint it if your concerned.
