Hey Ducati, I see that the Retrofit Source has a complete kit to do this job. Bi-xenon Morimoto Mini Stage III Kit (H1) - Complete Retrofit Kits from The Retrofit Source Inc
Looks like everything you have listed. Check it out, is everything there if a guy wanted to DIY?
I do see that the harness you recommend in your link is the 9007. How come you don't use the 9008/H13 harness or is that just a picture for reference only?

Thats exactly what I order, the stage III kit - Bi-xenon Morimoto Mini Stage III Kit (H1) - Complete Retrofit Kits from The Retrofit Source Inc I do use the H13/9008 harness. I think the link your referring to will just bring you there, you still have to make the choices from the drop down menu's.

I cost me $360 in parts plus shipping. These are not cheap ebay parts. Thats why I feel $750 shipped to you is a fair price. If you want to do it yourself I will definitely give you advice.

$350-$400 in labor definitely sounds fair. I've popped headlights apart before on my '04 stealth to clean the glass and the projectors, and it was a royal PITA itself. To also do the retrofitting portion of it on top of that, I'd say your prices are ballpark. I'll wait to see the 2013 Raptor release since it should only be about 6 months after I get my truck, and see if they will have HID's and if there's a potential to retrofit those, but if not, I'll certainly be in line to order a set from you.

John, these bad boys are yours. Murdered out - reflector, turn signal and side marker.

I will have 2 more shroud types and ccfl's tomorrow and will update with pics of all the different combo's.

TRS recommends not to run a 55w system in the Morimoto projector. Reason - it can deform the projector and shroud. That being said, I did run a 55w system in my recons for a few months without a problem, although I was not using a shroud. I can tell you that with the 55w you would burn the shit out of your hand if you touched any part of the projector while it was running. The 35w I can grab with no problem and "clock" the projector. Its kind of crazy how cool it runs. Im guaranteeing any thing I sell and for that reason I will only sell them with a 35w system. If you already have a 55w setup I will just discount you the parts you dont need but you run them at your own risk.

Why you see companies like lightworks running 55w systems is because the are using a FX-R projector which requires a LOT more dremel work to mount them in out headlights. Thats also why they ask double $ what I am. Also if something goes wrong with the projector your throwing away the whole headlight because they are permanently mounted. I use the Morimoto Mini because it cuts down on cost to me and you and if there ever was a problem I could just swap it out for a new one.

Is a 55w system brighter, sure but as someone who has run both 55w and 35w out of the same headlights I can tell you that a 35w system is ridiculously bright and hands down better then our stock system. If you looking for specs the 35w bulbs I use are rated at 3000 lumen output per bulb.

I will have pics posted of both 55w vs 35w as a comparison in the near future. Hope I answered that question, lol.

You did a great job... I'm looking forward to the pics

Love the look. This is what I will be doing to my stocks. Going to order the kit tonight. What paint did you use to black out the reflectors and shrouds, anything special? I assume you used nightshades on the yellow lenses.
Will put up with my recons in the mean time. These things really do suck. Stocks are 10 times better in my opinion. Will end of Retro fitting them later on.
