Thanks Greg and Reptar for pointing that out. I was wondering why you guys were so stuck on those lights, plus I really hate to put something made in china on my Raptor. I do have to change those lights, I cant see a dam thing going down an unlit road.
Do you think Ford will put better lights in 2013. I heard that the truck sits to high for the government regulations to pass such a light from the factory.

Do you think Ford will put better lights in 2013. I heard that the truck sits to high for the government regulations to pass such a light from the factory.

Rumor from a very reliable source the 2013's will offer a new paint color and factory HID's. All the spy shots of 2013 f150's and a Raptor show the grille and headlights covered in camo as well, which is pretty good supporting evidence.

But I'd bet they won't have the amber LED rings, so personally I think I'd rather snag up a set of ducati's over waiting on OEMs.

Correct me if Im wrong but I believe most if not all of fords vehicles with projectors use halogen bulbs.

Another thing to consider is factory projectors dont have nearly as crisp as a cutoff as aftermarket.

My girlfriend has a 2011 edge limited and i'm pretty positive they are HIDs..

it would be interesting to see what the headlights look like on the 2013s if they are HID projectors

We rented a 2011 edge last time we vacationed and it had projectors but they where halogen. Maybe you can upgrade to HID ?

Yup, the base models come with halogen and the limited and sport have HID. I stand corrected.

Hmm that's odd cause I have the recons and they look nothing like the pic you put up. My recons have a good cut off just like the other ones who knows maybe they changed them or something cause I just got mine a few weeks ago but major props on the lights Ducati looks bad ass

All the Mustangs with projectors are HIDs. If they're halogens it's a regular reflector housing.

The reliable source I heard about 2013 changes from just said HIDs. Nothing about the housing, so it may be projectors, it may not be. Either way they'll be a massive improvement over regular halogens. Sylvania, who made the OEM housings for the 97-03 F-150's, made a set of aftermarket Xenarc HID's for the 97-03 F-150's, which wasn't a projector, but HID's with reflectors designed for the HID lighting, and they performed INCREDIBLE. I had a set in both of my HD trucks. So there's a good chance they could be going that same route on the 2013's, or they could be going projectors. Who really knows lol.
