37s v 35s, any hard evidence?

Saw 40s at KHC last week...and it was built to use them....who runs front bump stops ...

now if Ford runs the Baja 1000 it will be interesting to see which one they take...and if they don’t go, it may be a bigger statement.

Not concerned with height but I specifically lengthened my garage by 3’ to accommodate truck. And now I don’t even park it in there.

37 = one less inch travel. One extra inch sidewall.

I wouldn’t run any more or less psi between the two tire sizes. But, I’ll take the extra ground clearance and sidewall.

The larger diameter also helps smooth things out over rocks ans square edged terrain. Our fire roads here are littered with rocks. Much like a 29 vs 26” MTB.

What I'm curious about and have not heard it addressed is why Ford did not make a change to the gear ratio or at least offer an option to a shorter gear set when offering the 37" tires. Did I miss that?

fair question.

35 to 37 is more like a 6% jump.

the next gear ratio up from 4.10s is 4.56., which is more like 10% leaving final gearing a bit shorter than it would be.

and honestly, the difference in actual RPMs between 35s and 37s is really nothing.

Copy. I suppose for a high speed desert runner maintaining the top end speed may be more important to them than the 10% torque gain they'd also see with the shorter set.
