So just an update to my BFG 37s...went out this weekend and did some roading in Nevada with them and the stock fenders. For me, i went a little harder than i have before and they performed flawlessly and i stuffed them a couple times and rubbed the liner a bit but nothing bad. No harm. SO my next mode is the UTV progressive springs which will give me a little more height. So fiber glass fenders are not in my near future.

VG - Can you remind me if you modified your pinch weld?

I mounted the BFG AT 37s a few weeks ago myself; 2014, SCAB, mid-perch, stock wheels, and ZERO trimming anywhere. I've articulated the suspension on uneven grade and can't get the tires to rub anywhere with stock wheels, but I could see why you guys with Methods (4.75" BS) or wheels with less than stock backspace need to do some trimming. I wheeled it pretty hard and stuffed the tires a few times and have no rubbing. In my opinion, the only possibility of these tires rubbing, again with stock wheels, is on the pinch weld under full compression and I'm still questioning even that. I'm going to trim mine just to be safe, but haven't done so yet.

Forgot to mention, no chucking either. I was aired down to about 27 psi...and we hit some rocky sections.

First, looks great! Second, I did...i sliced the pinch weld and the fenders and fender flares. I stuffed them Saturday and hit just the top of the liner. I rub on turns as i brake.

That just amazes me. I've got a 0 offset with these Method Fat Fives and I'm running Mid Perch. I can get them to rub in a backup turn while backing down a slight incline...

Well your wheels have 4.75" backspace and mine have 6.09", so yours sit further out laterally by 1.34". That may not seem like much, but it's actually a pretty huge difference in it's own right, plus you must consider the following:

1) That additional width gives the unsprung tire/wheel leverage, making it easier to work against the shock and cycle the suspension.

2) The lack of that extra 1.34" backspace actually increases your suspension travel. The front is 11.2" stock and you're probably closer to ~12.0" with the Methods (that's just a guess... would have to do the trig to be sure), so your tires can droop more, but also travel further upward into the wheel wells.

Long story short... two trucks identical in every way except one has OE wheels and one has Methods drive over the exact terrain at the same speed... the truck with Methods will have more front suspension cycle, especially in compression.

Big fan of the BFGs on the street but they will get hurt offroad depending how you drive (I run two wheel drive). Backed off at TRR and still took some minor damage but worth it to me for the everyday driving. Ruined my first new set in 3 laps at TRR 12. Getting a set of 37" Baja T/As later this year. I'm a music man that likes cruising down the interstate now and then and not having no tire/road noise. No rubbing as well till only after Raptor events bashing. Raptoberfest and TRR. :):perkinswhatever:

Do you air down? and the stock compound is softer than the 37s you get. I drove in 2WD all day Saturday over dirt, sand, and rocks, no chunky, and I think a lot of that is due to airing down. Kicks up less rocks, more traction, and less chance of a puncture.

Can't find a supplier anywhere that has the 37 AT's in stock...no ETA on any shipments either.

If anyone does know where a set is located, I'd like to pick some up...otherwise, I may end up taking my chances with the 37" KM2.
